8 days Agadir to Marrakech and return via Ouarzazate and Sahara desert and Essaouira

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from Agadir Airport. From there, drive through the charming town of Taroudant, often referred to as «Little Marrakech» due to its beautiful medina and red mud walls. Afterward, head towards Taliouine, famous for its saffron cultivation, and stop in Taznakht, known for its traditional carpets. Continue on to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, passing through stunning landscapes and eventually reaching the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore this ancient fortified village, famous for its unique architecture and its appearance in many Hollywood films. Stay overnight in the nearby area.

After breakfast we drive to Todra Gorge, stop to visit the Kasbah of Amridil in the palm forest of Skoura, then continue to the Rose Valley and Dades Valley, reach Todra where we stop for lunch and walk through the palm forest in Todra Valley. We stop at the marble fossils of Erfoud before continuing our journey to Erfoud via Tineidad and several Berber villages. We then continue our journey to the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzoug. You will leave the vehicle (4×4) and transfer to the vehicle (8×8) to continue the camel trek and admire the sunset in the dunes. In the morning, visit the outskirts of Marrakech: the Menara Gardens with a beautiful olive grove around a pond and pavilion, the Rempart Tower, the city’s true pink mud belt and the expanses of palm trees. After lunch depart for Essaouira, an attractive port city, the former Mogador of the Portuguese. Explore the city with its ancient fishing port and high-quality crafts. Dinner and overnight stay.

On the final day of your tour, depending on your flight time, you’ll have some free time to relax or shop for last-minute souvenirs before being transferred to Agadir Airport for your departure.
