4 Day Desert Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga

Embarking on your Desert Trip from Marrakech to Dades Valley will commence with a 4x4 or minivan driver picking you up from your Marrakech hotel or Riad at 8:00 a.m. You'll traverse through the mesmerizing Berber villages and relish the panoramic route while crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Ouarzazate. There, you'll explore the historic "Taourirt Kasbah" and indulge in a delectable lunch. Next, you'll journey to the Dades Valley through the stunning Skoura palmery and culminate your day with a scrumptious dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

Following breakfast, we'll go for a drive towards Tineghir, where we'll subsequently head to Todra Gorges to relish the awe-inspiring views of the canyons and stroll amidst the Palm Plantations. Moving on, we'll journey to Tinjedad to satisfy our hunger with a delicious lunch before continuing the expedition to Erfoud. Along the way, we'll pass through several quaint villages such as Touroug, a picturesque Berber settlement, and El-Jarf. After stopping by a local fossil craft workshop, we'll proceed towards the captivating Erg Chebbi dunes, also known as Merzouga Dunes. Here, you'll check into a hotel and prepare for a thrilling hour and a half camel trek to bask in the sunset's glory. Subsequently, you'll savor a delectable dinner and spend the night in a traditional nomad tent at a bivouac.

The third day will commence with an early awakening to behold the magnificent sunrise and relish a scrumptious breakfast at the camp situated amidst the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Thereafter, you'll embark on a camel ride back to the hotel, where you'll freshen up with a quick shower before we drive towards Rissani, a quaint Saharan town located in the southeast region of Morocco, to witness a remarkable fossil workshop. Following this, we'll proceed to the junction of Agdez and Draa valley before traversing the Atlas Mountains and arriving at Ouarzazate. Here, you'll indulge in a delectable dinner and spend a cozy overnight stay.

After breakfast, we'll set aside some time to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, and pay a visit to the renowned Atlas Film Studio in Ouarzazate, also known as "Hollywood Africa," where over 20 popular movies, such as "Gladiator," "Indiana Jones," and "Lawrence of Arabia," were filmed. Furthermore, we'll embark on a brief walk to discover the exquisite Moroccan style of Kasbah architecture before embarking on our journey towards Marrakesh via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n'Tichka pass.
